A Day of Worship
“A Day Of Worship” will be a day filled with worship music, children’s activities, and a missions minded attitude toward community outreach. This is an event that will be easy to invite people to for the fun activities, and then they will be able to see the worship opportunities that area churches have to offer for those in the community who are looking for a church home.
The event will be held at Washington Irving Park in Bixby, Sept. 15, 2012 starting at 11:00 am through 6:00pm .
Various praise teams will play on the amphitheater stage all day and there will be a lot of activities for the kids including Jupiter Jumps, inflatable slides, an obstacle coarse, arts and crafts, and face painting. One of the key features will be information booths about the range of ministries available in the area. Also, food vendors will make it easy to stay awhile and enjoy the activities. There will be plenty of free parking, free admission and security to make the event affordable for anyone.
Timing of the event is ideal because school will just have started and people will be looking for a church to settle into for the winter. Also, this is a great way for churches to work together, build relationships and network in different ways, at the same time raise awareness of area churches and increase visitation.
There are 4 different ways to participate.
Booth Spaces; Booth spaces are available for area churches. The only cost for a booth is 5 volunteers from your church, for 2 hours of service time each, to help with parking, kids zone area and clean up at the park. Every event volunteer will get an event logo shirt for participating.
Praise bands; Stage time slots are available for praise teams. A sound system, drums, keyboard and amps will be on stage for easy transitions from team to team. The only requirement for a stage slot is that your church has a booth at the event.
Vendors; There will be a $50 vendor fee for food vendors and a $100 fee for certain approved product vendors. Food vendors will also need a city permit.
Sponsors; Get your business name in event flyers or put up a banner at the event to advertise your company while helping a great community event.
