PURPOSE STATEMENT

Challenging women to KNOW Christ,
to GROW in Christ,
and to ECHO His heart to the world.

Through NB Women you will be challenged to know Christ, to grow in Christ, and to echo His heart to the world. Through special events, bible studies, and mission projects, you will discover how God has qualified, called, and equipped you for a ministry alongside other women.

Annual events include the Christmas Celebration in December and a Girl's Night Out in the summer. “Connections” are special events planned for the simple purpose of letting you enjoy a time of fellowship and fun while making connections with other women. At each Special Event you will be challenged to find your place in one of our many NB Women D-Groups. (D = Discipleship)

Speaker: Kelly King

Kelly King is the Women’s Specialist for the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma where she loves encouraging women to embrace and echo God’s heart for the world. She has lived in Oklahoma her entire life and loves her Okie roots. She and her husband, Vic, just celebrated 24 years of marriage and are preparing to enter the empty nest stage of life. They would love to plan exotic vacations and make major home improvements, but have decided that with two kids in college, the best thing they can do is take up an activity that doesn’t cost much. So—they’ve invested in two kayaks to keep them busy and hopefully in shape! Kelly’s perfect day would start with Starbucks, involve shopping for new clothes and ending the day with Mexican food.

SEED - is a resource by Priscilla Shirer in a series of short videos that includes thought-provoking, modern-day parables with weekly Bible study guides.

Sessions:

• Forgotten: Priscilla reminds us that God notices our worth and cares for us at all times and in all seasons.
• Enough: God is a good Father to us and He has taken care of you up to now, and He will continue to. His gifts are good and they are always good enough.
• Control: We all want to do the "leading" and have the "control" in our own life. Giving that up is difficult, but it is what God requires of us – and when we do so, we really can see that it is a beautiful result.

ECHO:  BIXBY

Bixby Outreach Center (BOC) is a local agency that provides food, clothing, and other assistance to families having financial difficulty in the Bixby and Glenpool areas.  Several New Beginnings' members volunteer weekly at BOC and New Beginnings provides regular funding to assist BOC with their efforts.

BOC currently has a great need for new underwear in all sizes for men, women, teens, and children. We will be collecting packages of underwear from now until April 25, to be donated to BOC. These donations can be placed in the canvas 3-bin sorter placed in the lower lobby near the missions table.

ECHO:  INDIA

Wednesday, April 25 • 7:00 p.m.

New Beginnings is blessed to have so many members who participate in overseas mission opportunities.  On Wednesday, April 25 at 7:00 p.m., two young women who have made a sacrificial commitment to serve in India will be speaking to our women.  Natasha (Tash) Sturdivant and Tyler Butler have been involved in missions and evangelism here in America and in India for the past few years. Both will be traveling to India in the next few months for an extended period of service.  Tash and Tyler have an incredible passion for ministry in India, and are very excited to have the opportunity to share that excitement with the women of New Beginnings.  You will not want to miss this presentation!!
