Wired

WIRED isn’t just a clever name of our Student Ministry (7th – 12th Grades) here at New Beginnings... WIRED is who we are (Wired to Christ) and what we aim to do with every student (Wired to the Church) who enters the doors at the Warehouse!! An incredible staff and a great group of volunteers have come together to serve the teens and parents that make up WIRED. We invite students to understand what it means to Worship (Reach Up), find a community of believers (Reach In) and to love others as the hands and feet of Jesus (Reach Out).  We achieve this by our three unique programs:

Wired Up

Wired Up

Sundays 11a-12:15p in the Warehouse

We hope students will take this time to ‘Reach-Up’ and worship the risen Christ through song and Bible teaching.

  • January: Connect Four (God, Family, Friends, the Opposite Sex)
  • February: All Roads Lead to Rome (4 Weeks through the Book of Romans)
  • March: FAQ (Why Does God Allow Suffering, Is There Really a Hell?, Can the Bible be Trusted, Origins)
    • *No Wired-UP Sunday, April 1st (Enjoy worship with your family for Easter)
  • April: Not Just Any John Will Do (4 Weeks through the Book of John)
  • May: H.A.B.I.T.S. (Quiet Time, Accountability, Study the Bible, Giving & Serving)
  • June: The Most Famous Songs in History (4 Weeks through the Book of Psalms)
  • July: Value Pack (Honesty, Respect, Self-Control & Forgiveness)
Wired In

Wired In

Wednesdays 6:30p-8:30p in the Warehouse

We encourage students to ‘Reach-In’, mature in their faith and look more like Jesus through our Discipleship (High School) & Discussion (Middle School) Groups that happen each week.

Reel Time: Our summer program (June 1st – July 27th) in place of ‘InsideOut’ to give leaders a short season of rest and rejuvenation, as well as, to create a hunger for Discipleship Groups!!  We will be watching 8 different films and discussing three questions:

  1. What was the major plot of the film?
  2. What is Hollywood is trying to sell you?
  3. How can we redeem this film for Christ (to use it to share our faith the next time we watch it or hear others talking about it)?
  • 6:00pm Warehouse Opens
  • 6:30pm Movie Begins… (will be using ClearPlay www.clearplay.com)
  • 8:30pm Discussion
  • 9:00pm Warehouse Closes
Wired Out

  • April 29th: Serve-a-thon (5th Sunday): We, as a church body, will work together to tackle 10 different projects all day long (1pm - 9pm) in South Tulsa.
  • June 3rd: Senior Recognition: This is a special day where we honor our senior students and their families by the junior students and parents serving them breakfast, as well as, having a presentation of the seniors in both adult worship services!
  • June 4th - 9th: Falls Creek: This is our annual trip to the biggest Baptist camp in the world!! We have seen countless lives changed through this incredible event... Will you be apart of the best week of your life this year?
